Sweet Pea's Cafe Maine intimate wedding

Sweet Pea’s Cafe is an exceptional wedding venue located on Mount Desert Island near Acadia National Park. As wedding photographers, and ones that specialize in Acadia National Park, we’ve had the opportunity to photograph a variety of weddings at numerous different venues, but each one pales in comparison to our experiences at Sweet Pea’s Cafe. In this blog post, we’ll showcase Lanae and Ron’s intimate wedding at Sweet Pea’s Cafe and explain why we love this wedding venue so much!

We can not say enough about how much we love this venue and look forward to coming back to it.

Lanae & Ron’s Sweet Pea’s Cafe Wedding

Sunrise Hike and First Look in Acadia

Lanae and Ron kicked off their wedding with an amazing sunrise adventure in Acadia National Park. They started their morning hiking up to some of the best views overlooking Acadia and the ocean, to share private vows as the sun rose. They had the summit to themselves as they shared heartfelt words with their adorable pup Jazz watching along.

Before meeting their friends and family at Sweet Pea’s Cafe, Lanae and Ron decided to share a private first look in the forest. Surrounded by the autumn leaves, Lanae and Ron got to see each other for the first time all dressed up in their wedding attire, and took a few moments to soak in the experience before they headed to their ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Sweet Pea’s Cafe

After their first look, it was time to get married! They arrived at Sweet Pea’s Cafe with their family and friends excitedly waiting for their ceremony. Lanae and Ron decided to have an intimate wedding with just their families present and their best friend officiating. With the autumn foliage as their backdrop and their families as witnesses, Lanae and Ron exchanged vows and rings and incorporated their guests into the experience.

After an emotional ceremony and a lot of celebrating, Lanae, Ron, and their guests, headed to the Sweet Pea’s Cafe Patio for a stunning lunch reception. They shared delicious woodfired pizza, salads, oysters, charcuterie boards, and desserts.

Following their lunch reception, everyone ventured back into Acadia National Park to explore the iconic rocky cliffs and take some photos. After, Lanae and Ron ended their wedding day with a sunset boat ride around Mount Desert Island.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding or reception near Acadia National Park that combines incredible food and a fantastic atmosphere, having a Sweet Pea’s Cafe wedding is the perfect choice.
