Campgrounds in Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park has amazing campgrounds inside the park and outside! Depending on the size of your rig, what accommodations you’re looking for, or how close you want to be to certain areas, a different campground will be better for you. Here is a list of my personal favorite campgrounds around Acadia National Park!

Just a PSA before we get into this, many campgrounds in Acadia National Park do not have showers. So if you’re visiting, it’s important to find a place to clean off. My favorite place to shower when I visit is right outside of Black Woods Campground at Hot Showers (44.3143753, -68.2122368). This place is super clean, private, and fairly cheap. The cost is $3 for a 5-minute hot shower and each shower has an area for you to undress and get ready before hopping it. I can not recommend it enough. It has been a go-to spot every time I visit.

Bar Harbor Hotels

Hotels and Inns are a great option for Acadia National Park. Airbnbs and rentals can sometimes be far from the park and downtown Bar Harbor, so these place you close to the action. Bar Harbor is home to many amazing hotels but here are a few options.

The Bar Harbor Inn

Inn on Mount Desert Island

Moseley Cottage Inn

Harbor Cottage Inn

Ivy Manor Inn

Bar Harbor Regency

The Acadia Hotel

The Bayview Hotel

The Atlantean Cottage
